DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND CLIENT BRIEF
It was a privilege to be requested to replace the existing roof on such a spectacular building with such local significance in the heart of Giggleswick. Bankwell House is a Grade 2 listed Georgian and partial Edwardian property of significant proportions. However, the years have taken its toll, on the fine structure and Blaithwaite Developments were engaged to fully refurbish the existing roof using traditional materials and techniques, including lead gutters and lead roll ridge. The refurbishment was sensitive on many levels, including that of the preservation of bats and access.
